Traditional Stone Houses

10-12 Available

Traditional stonehouses in the Conference campus can host a limited number of participants. Each stonehouse consists of a two-level traditional apartment with a double bed in the upper level and a lounge with one or two single sofa-beds in the lower level. A Kitchenette, working area and T. V. are available in all stonehouses. The price is per house, regardless of the number of people lodged. Every house has its own patio. There are two types of stonehouses: round and square.

 

Rooms on the 3^rd floor of the Dormitories

All rooms on the third floor are equipped with private facilities, including a toilet and shower. Each room also features air conditioning, a telephone, free internet access, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer.

Double/Single Rooms

18 Double (bunk beds) and 7 Single Available

The student dormitories in MAICh campus can accommodate participants in double rooms (some of them with bunk bed) and single rooms. The price for a double with single occupancy is the same as a single room. All the rooms have a shared balcony with the adjacent room (2 rooms one balcony).

Attic/Loft Rooms

8 Available

"Attic rooms" on the 3rd floor of the student dormitories building are also available. The attic is a two level room with a double mattress in the upper level and one single bed downstair.

Upgraded Rooms

2 Double Available

The rooms have one double bed or 2 single beds or one single bed and a private toilet/shower. Each room also features air conditioning, a telephone, free internet access, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer. To book any of them, you will have to choose “UPGRADED ROOM” and indicate the room type and the preferred bed number in the comments section.

 

Upgraded Rooms - At the Academic Village

3 Double and One (1) Single Available

The rooms have one double bed or 2 single beds or one single bed and a private toilet/shower. Each room also features air conditioning, a telephone, free internet access, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer. To book any of them, you will have to choose “UPGRADED ROOM”.

 

Double/Single Rooms
on the 1^st and 2^nd floor of the Dormitories

22 Twin and 25 Single Available

Double and single rooms with private facilities (toilet/shower). All the rooms are air-conditioned and have free internet access. The price for a double with single occupancy is the same as a single room.

 

Apartment at the Academic Village

1 Available

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one with one double and one single beds and the second bedroom has one double bed and a big veranda.
The apartment is also equipped with three air-conditioning units (one in each bedroom and one in the living room), a hairdryer, a refrigerator, a washing machine, and a dryer. There is free internet access.

 

All the above rooms are air-conditioned have telephone and free internet access.

An elevator is provided to facilitate access to the first, second, and third floors of the dormitory.

A code number for free local phone calls is provided for all MAI.Chania residents and can be applied to any phone device (connected with cable) that can be found at the area of the Institute (e.g. lounge area where breakfast is served, at the corridors of each floor in the dormitories, in some rooms etc).

Conference participants/Students/visitors are responsible for their personal belongings in their rooms. In the case of loss, the Institute bears no responsibility for lost or stolen personal items.

 

Reservation Guarantee / Cancellation Fee / Booking Deadline

A deposit for the 1st night's stay must be paid as a guarantee.

Cancellations of reservations 10 days prior to participant's arrival: a full refund will apply.

Cancellations of reservations up to 3 days prior to participant’s arrival: a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of one night’s accommodation will apply.

No refund will apply for cancellations of reservations made less than 3 days from the check in date.

All cancellations must be done in written through E-mail: confer@maich.gr

There is no deadline for room reservations. Rooms are booked and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
