The CIHEAM MAI.Chania Conference Center prioritizes health and safety and has fully harmonized its operation with the health protocols prepared by the National Public Health Organization (EODY) of the Greek State.

COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS

According to the new measures by the Greek government since 1 September 2021, all participants entering the conference rooms have to show their Certificate of vaccination or Certificate of illness issued thirty (30) days after the first positive test and its validity lasts up to one hundred and eighty (180) days after it.

Mandatory use of a mask for everyone without exception throughout the stay in the covered areas of the conference center.

Please keep the appropriate distance 1,5m in all areas. Disinfect your hands with the Antiseptic gel that will be available in all rooms, coffee and buffet tables. Use the gloves for single use when you serve yourself.

Before any travel arrangements, please ensure that you follow what is required for the given traveling period by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection of the Hellenic Republic, due to covid-19 restriction measures (see ‘Protocol for Arrivals in and Departures from Greece’ at https://travel.gov.gr/)

  • 22nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations-AIAI 2026

    From July 16th to July 19th, 2026

AIAI conference (Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations) is an IFIP event, organized annually, under the auspices of the IFIP Working Group 12.5 “AI Applications”. AI evolution is a continuous and ongoing process, encompassing diverse scientific domains. In principle, the AIAI conference aims to provide a forum for delegates from both academia and industry, offering them the chance to meet, interact, exchange novel methodologies, interesting research results and to be updated on pioneer ideas/algorithms. We are proud to say that the IFIP AIAI international conference has been held continuously since 2004. Through the years, it has evolved to a well-respected and mature event, under the technical and scientific co-sponsorship of the AIAI community. This community comprises of an extended group of leading scientists, not only from Europe but from all over the globe.

  • FESTUM pi-Maths & Music on the Aegean islands_festival and conference

    From July 26th to August 2nd, 2026

The FESTUM π initiative – Mathematics and Music in the Aegean Islands – aims to promote the connection between the mathematical sciences and music through annual conferences and symposia held across the Aegean Islands. For the fourth consecutive year, the largest mathematics school in France, Université Paris-Saclay, in collaboration with the Conservatoire de Paris, joins forces with 80 leading mathematicians and musicologists from France and Greece, on the island of Crete and specifically in Chania. The festival is held under the auspices of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Research, with the support of the Academy of Athens and the valuable assistance of the Region of Crete.

  • 8th International Workshop on Cavitation & Multiphase flows

    From August 27th to August 28th, 2026

The workshop is designed for academics, researchers and engineers interested in the complex dynamics of relevant fluid systems. This intensive session will cover the fundamentals of cavitation physics, bubble dynamics, and modeling techniques for multiphase flows, alongside practical applications in marine propulsion, turbomachinery, energy systems, and biomedical devices. Participants will gain insights from expert speakers, explore modern experimental and computational methods, and engage in discussions that bridge theory with real-world engineering challenges. Whether you are new to the field or looking to deepen your expertise, this workshop offers a valuable opportunity to learn, collaborate, and advance your understanding of cavitating and multiphase flow phenomena. As in our previous events, we believe that it will play a key role in advancing benchmark experimental datasets and modelling frameworks for the ide range of applications where such flow cases encounter.

  • 2nd International Symposium on AI and Fluid Mechanics (AIFLUIDs)

    From August 31st to September 3rd, 2026

This symposium offers a timely and unique opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase new research, and foster collaboration. AIFLUIDs aspires to become the premier global forum dedicated to artificial intelligence and data-driven methods in the field of fluid mechanics. We believe that AIFLUIDs will play a key role in advancing benchmark datasets, validating machine learning models, and shaping the future of computational methods in fluid mechanics. The symposium hosts keynote presentations by world-leading experts, open scientific contributions and posters. Moreover, sponsors and industry experts will participate and discuss challenges and future perspectives.
