The CIHEAM MAI.Chania Conference Center prioritizes health and safety and has fully harmonized its operation with the health protocols prepared by the National Public Health Organization (EODY) of the Greek State.
According to the new measures by the Greek government since 1 September 2021, all participants entering the conference rooms have to show their Certificate of vaccination or Certificate of illness issued thirty (30) days after the first positive test and its validity lasts up to one hundred and eighty (180) days after it.
Mandatory use of a mask for everyone without exception throughout the stay in the covered areas of the conference center.
Please keep the appropriate distance 1,5m in all areas. Disinfect your hands with the Antiseptic gel that will be available in all rooms, coffee and buffet tables. Use the gloves for single use when you serve yourself.

The "Soil Health: Current Status and Future Needs" Conference aims to address critical land-related challenges, including climate change mitigation and adaptation, desertification and land degradation prevention, food security, and the transition to sustainable, climate-resilient agricultural systems. The conference seeks to foster the exchange of novel knowledge among scientists, policymakers, and stakeholders, supporting the implementation of initiatives such as land neutrality, the EU Farm to Fork initiative, and the European Green Strategy, while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Emphasizing soil health principles, the conference will highlight agroecosystem management practices that can transform conventional agriculture into more sustainable systems, aiding in climate change mitigation and adaptation.

The objective of the general assembly is to come together as a consortium to discuss project progress and explore how to take the project forward to meet the objectives it sets. A particular aspect of this meeting is to interact with each other, exchange ideas, find each other, discover collaborations and how to work together going forward, and of course, to be inspired.
